Merchant questions

Embedded payments and merchant onboarding questions, answered clearly.

These answers describe Civixora's intended V1 operating model. They do not replace partner terms, legal advice, or a completed merchant underwriting review.

What does Civixora provide?

Civixora provides non-custodial payment infrastructure software for embedded payments, merchant onboarding, payment APIs, partner capabilities, and operational visibility. Approved third-party partners own the payment program and final account decisions.

What is PayFac-as-a-Service?

PayFac-as-a-Service is a partner model that can provide a platform with merchant onboarding, acquiring relationships, and payment capabilities. Civixora supplies the software layer around that relationship and does not assume a regulated role without an executed agreement and required approvals.

Which businesses or platforms can request a review?

A legitimate business or platform can start a conversation when it can explain its products, customer journey, ownership, fulfillment, operating jurisdictions, and expected payment profile. Availability remains subject to the approved partner program and merchant review.

Does Civixora guarantee merchant account approval?

No. Civixora can organize readiness and support a partner submission, but the approved PayFac, PSP, processor, or acquirer makes the final underwriting, merchant-account, capability, settlement, and processing decisions.

What information is needed for merchant onboarding?

The first request usually needs ordinary business information such as the legal entity, public website, products, ownership, fulfillment, operating jurisdictions, and expected payment profile. Exact evidence depends on the partner program and secure onboarding stage.

Does Civixora store card numbers or CVV?

No. Civixora's V1 design uses upstream hosted payment fields and tokenized payment references. It must not collect or store raw PAN, CVV, magnetic-stripe data, or full card numbers.

How are settlement and reserves handled?

Civixora is non-custodial. Settlement and reserves remain with the approved processor or acquirer, including any direct-to-merchant settlement configuration, hold, or reserve condition. Civixora tracks processor-reported information for operational visibility.

Can platforms integrate through an API?

The public integration path is currently a private preview for approved merchants and platforms. It uses hosted checkout, merchant-scoped references, idempotent requests, and signed events. Exact features depend on the partner program and merchant configuration.
